Philosophy and literature are by far my favorite subjects. It’s hard for me to separate them because I often look to literature to express philosophical ideas in a different way. Expressing philosophy in a novel provides not only a potentially different perspective on the framework in question but also delivers the message in a more powerful and meaningful way.
At the moment, I am more interested in philosophy having to deal with the conditions of the human experience than anything else. I think being in an inherently meaningless world can be problematic and I am not sure that creating a meaning for oneself is an adequate solution for this gap, and I only call it a gap because the attempt to find something more than sheer existence in the world is universal.
Besides philosophy and literature, I have interest in biology, mathematics, and astronomy. I dabble in programming and I enjoy playing video games, particularly first-person shooters, real-time strategy, and role-playing games.
